Commissioned by nonprofit art space, / (slash) Art, Brendan created 3D scans of its new location and gallery space. The render was made by scanning an informal cellphone video; the camera swept quickly across rooms and shook with the camera person’s steps. The blurs and imperfections of this footage are captured in the 3D scans in which we see bookshelves bending sympathetically with the camera’s movement, long amorphous tunnels with pockets of photo-realistic spaces dappled within, and blobs with small windows through which one could see employees on their lunch breaks.
